The annual general meeting of the Barnsley Biodiversity Trust was held on Wednesday 28 January at Barnsley Town Hall at 7pm. At the meeting we had reports from the trustees and from the council’s biodiversity officer, including on the wildlife sites panel and the records centre. We also had reports about progress on the our hogwatch project and on the biodiversity in schools project. We had updates on the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership scheme and the work being undertaken on the transpennine trail between Penistone and Dunford Bridge.
Mick Birkinshaw and Alwyn Timms were reappointed as trustees. If there are people interested in becoming BBT trustees we would like to hear from you.
